Arthur Rackham - The Weardale Fairies

Can't find this one - a folk tale from County Durham. According to my source it comes from Grice - Folk Tales of the North Country.

Arthur Rackham always creates dramatic images. I like the balance between light and dark in his pictures.
I agree with you. Life is what you make it. Mind you our summer seems to have disappeared so I have been feeling a bit down too!
I made a Hare necklace yesterday with semi precious, Lapis and Moonstones so that cheered me up. At least when it is bad weather I can get on with some creative projects.:)

Nice day here today Joanne but I have to go on a hospital visit to Bath later on and that is always a bit depressing. The geriatric ward is always so sad and the old lady doesn't want to be there. Who can blame her! The necklace sounds good. I like Hares and their symbolism. Its funny how I often picture folk tales now in sort of Rackham images. These are from a National Trust book I got recently.
