Alice in Wonderland (1966) Directed by Jonathan Miller one of TV Series made by BBC television. A production of genius. This is the Mad Hatter's tea party. I love Alice's posh accent, and Peter Cook's acting.
I saw this for the first time about 2 months ago, and I also loved it. It's very different from other Alice adaptations. Rather than concentrate on the "Fantastical" side of Alice books' nonsense, this film focuses on the other side that is rarely talked about: the absurdity of adult life and social customs through the eyes of children.
I was really impressed the BBC produced this. It's really experimental for 1966...and for it to been on TV, that's amazing.

I agree with all that. Miller was very influential at the time and thank goodness given a lot of freedom. Can't see it happening today.
