This is my 5 1/2 year olds first book he read by himself. Just tonight he practiced it 3 times and then proudly read it to Daddy when he came home. I'm teaching him to read using the linguistic approach, but I thought he should learn that he can read new words, even long ones, by using the context. The illustrations are perfect for that approach. He did not stumble at all at the word dandelion because he recognized the flower the boy was feeding the rabbit. favourite is still a stumbler, though! Perfect book for the beginner.

I enjoyed following the whole entry, I always thought one of the main things to count when you write a blog is learning how to complement the ideas with images, that's exploiting at the maximum the possibilities of a ciber-space! Good work on this entry!
